Weather and Landscape
This month we have experienced all four seasons. There were some days when we had rain, which was coupled with spectacular lightning displays often followed by misty mornings. We also experienced hot and dry days, sending most to relax in the pool during the heat of the day.

The desert-adapted elephants have been coming into and going out of the area, creating some great sightings, but also making our guides work hard to track them, as they move long distances and we never know from one day to the next where they'll be.

A good number of Hartmann’s mountain zebra have moved into the area, with a dazzle of nine settling around Fonteine. A honey badger and a male lion have also taken a liking to this area, as their tracks are found there almost daily.

Camp News
This month the Damaraland team welcomed David Kooper and Willem Mutinga to the guiding team. Bianca Vires joined the kitchen crew as a chef.
