Climate and Landscape
The Doro Nawas area had lovely weather during July: cool mornings with fog, and warm afternoons. The temperatures ranged from 18-25° Celsius at midday. The easterly winds came up on some days and caused a number of dust storms.

Wildlife
The elephants moved around frequently, taking advantage of the cooler weather. Family groups moved out of the area toward the Twyfelfontein Mountains – and then a herd of six has recently moved back into the Huab River.

Giraffe and kudu were seen regularly as well as a number of sightings of secretarybirds.

Camp Activities
Bush dinners are a magical affair at Doro Nawas, with the pitch-black night lit up only by starlight and lanterns.

Guest Comments
“This was a memorable stay for so many reasons. To be welcomed with song is so special. The food is very good, the rooms are beautifully designed and well kept. The game drive was excellent.”
