4Cs Projects at Little Tubu Camp

As a camp dedicated to the sustainability of conservation and community, Little Tubu is intimately involved in projects which support these principles.

Jao Lion Monitoring Project

Started shortly after the inception of the Jao Concession, this project monitors the movement, social behaviour and condition of the lions in the area. Over time, unusual developments and intriguing behaviour have been documented amongst the lion prides.

Tubu Joint Management Committee

Jao Concession holders and the University of Botswana (under the auspices of the Biokavango Project) launched a committee to reduce conflict between the community and the Jao Concession – specifically with regard to curbing poaching and over-fishing.
