Congo with Wilderness Safaris

In and Around Congo

To get to Odzala, one must fly into the capital – Brazzaville. The Maya Maya Airport is an efficient entry point into the country and is just 15 minutes’ drive from the city centre. Numerous airlines, notably Air France via Paris, Inter Air via Johannesburg and Kenya Airways via Nairobi, land here, making the destination easily accessible from Europe and also combinable with Southern or East African safaris.

Getting to Congo

By Air

Guests depart by private charter from Brazzaville to M’boko Airstrip, Odzala-Kokoua National Park. The charter flight takes approximately two hours (possibly three hours if a fuel stop is required) and includes a light packed lunch.

By Land

While it is possible to drive from Brazzaville to Odzala-Kokoua, this is not offered to guests. Road transfers do occur between Lango Camp in M’boko area and Ngaga Camp. This is a three- to four four-hour savannah and forest drive, passing through different habitats and the village of Mbomo on the western boundary of the Park.
