Odzala is blessed with numerous habitats, from dense primary forest to forest fringe, savannah, wide, languid rivers and forest bais and salines. Our M’boko Concession plays host to several important bais, the productive forest clearings on which wildlife viewing is focused. The Ndzehi Forest, near the western boundary of Odzala-Kokoua, is primary rainforest mixed with marantaceae glades and small, crystal-clear streams.
- Many of its trees are ancient giants well over 50 metres tall
- The wide range of landscapes is home to an incredible diversity of life, much of it found nowhere else
- Ndzehi hosts high densities of both western lowland gorillas and chimpanzees
