Botswana Exploration - Great Wilderness Journey

Wildlife on the Great Wilderness Journey

The Linyanti and Chobe have diverse and prolific wildlife, but are most noted for their large elephant population during the dry winter months. Roan and sable antelope are often seen, plains game and of course, their predators, the lion and leopard – with the endangered wild dog as an incredible bonus. The Okavango Delta is also noted for its predator densities and good antelope diversity while the water camps offer spectacular birding and specialised creatures like sitatunga, reed frogs and pygmy geese.
