Never seen without his camera or a smile, Alex is a giant of a man in many aspects of the word. Born into a subsistence farming family, Alex grew up in the great outdoors of northern Botswana – namely the Linyanti – where his father taught him, honing his tracking, survival and general bushcraft skills. Together with these, a few years’ work experience and a guiding license, Alex joined Wilderness Safaris in 2003 making him a veteran in our industry, with years of general management and camp management under his belt to boot.
A true leader – after all one is not named after Alexander the Great for nothing – Alex is a respectful, mature, disciplined, social and humble person. He truly believes that through his guiding and award-winning photography – the skills of which he happily shares with his guests – he plays an active role in conserving some of Africa’s wild areas. We heartily concur.
And did we mention that he is great with kids too?
When you finally leave your safari you can continue your African journey by following him on his various mediums of social media.
