The River Club: Simonga Village Update
The Simonga Pre-school, funded by Norwich Union and managed by The River Club, is now open.
The village was in urgent need of a new pre-school as the previous one was basically an old church made of mud, which was falling apart.
The new building has a big classroom, which can take 70 pupils aged between four and six years old, a storage room and two offices.
The local education authority kindly donated chairs for the little ones and a table for the teaching staff. Blackboards, toys and stationery were also been donated by various kind guests of The River Club.
July saw the opening of the school and the young children enjoying their new classroom! The opening ceremony for this kindergarten facility is pictured.
The River Club and Simonga Village would like to thank Norwich Union and the other generous donors for this wonderful new building.
