Emmanuel Ndjoze
Born in the village of Kalkfontein in the remote Ghanzi district of western Botswana, Emmanuel grew up with nature on his doorstep and spent the majority of his early years exploring the Kalahari Desert. His family boasts generations of successive cattle farmers, thus allowing for his early education in the "school" of nature.
This early interest in the arid environment of the Kalahari led to an 8-year stint on the anti-poaching team of Botswana's Department of Wildlife & National Parks. His ability to easily engage with people, his natural leadership qualities and his love of the bush led him into a career in tourism, and he joined Wilderness Safaris as a guide in 1998.
His passion for the wild places of Botswana and his talent with hosting guests saw Emmanuel guiding at premier camps such as Mombo and Kings Pool, before he segued into Explorations in 2006. He is an avid birder, an able tracker and has great behavioural interpretation skills, which make him a rewarding host and guide.
