December 2017 – Wilderness Safaris has launched a new website for its Private Journeys division in Cape Town, featuring a range of useful and interactive tools to help guests and partners tailor-make the perfect, privately-guided tour of the Cape and surrounds.
“With more and more of our guests looking for authentic off-the-tourist-track experiences that still showcase the very best of what the Cape has to offer, we wanted to ensure that the content of our new website was fresh, fun, innovative and ultimately showcased our commitment to sustainability and our love for the Cape”, said Private Journeys General Manager, Charles van Rensburg.
Featuring insider tips, such as the newest and hottest list of Cape Town restaurants, blogs and a range of interactive tools and maps, the site is a useful platform for agents, consultants and guests wanting to know more about what the Cape has to offer and its main attractions. As there is so much to do in the Cape, planning the perfect itinerary can be overwhelming for guests and some agents who aren’t familiar with the area. “We have therefore simplified our offering by including ‘Our Three Must-Do Journeys’ to highlight our three most popular tours that should not be missed by anyone visiting the region”, Rensburg added.
However, for travellers looking for more immersive experiences and activities that are a little different, the Private Journeys website also features extra add-on options to suit a variety of tastes – the ‘Create your own Journey’ tab speaks to just that. “No guest is the same and therefore no itinerary should be the same. Our experienced guides have the flexibility to tailor and fine tune each experience to suit all our guests’ specific requirements, whether it’s for a family, food or wine aficionados, culture vultures or nature lovers”.
The layout of the website and terminology used mirrors the company’s agent portal called the Wilderness Window. The ability to make bookings for Private Journeys directly in the Window will be a reality in early 2018; agents and consultants who are therefore familiar with what they want to do can quickly and easily book the journey in the Window without having to wait for a quote. The experienced Private Journeys team is on hand, however, to assist with more complex itineraries.
“We pride ourselves on offering exceptional touring and want our guests and agents to sit back and leave it up to us to ensure a memorable journey through the Cape. For us, it is all about the guest experience. We have therefore partnered with the very best service providers and other operators in Cape Town to ensure that we can broaden our offering and continue to exceed our guests’ expectations”, he concluded.
