The Hochland 154 Round Table organised an annual fundraiser in the form of a bowls day that took place earlier this year. The main objective of the event was for different companies to socialise and most importantly, raise funds for three charities. Children in the Wilderness Namibia was nominated as one of the three beneficiaries and received a donation of N$25 000,00. Wilderness Safaris Namibia entered three teams with Wilderness Air fielding one team.

Our valued sponsors Cymot and Wecke & Voigts came to our rescue with generous sponsorships for this event. Cymot sponsored three sets of prizes and Weck & Voigots sponsored energy drinks and bars.

By Stefanus Nangombe

Stefanus Nangombe hails from the far north of Namibia where he attended school in Oshakati. Stefanus studied for a bachelor’s degree through the International University of Management before pursuing further studies in community-based work with children and youth. Even before attaining his qualifications, Stefanus always harboured a desire to help less privileged young people so working with Children in the Wilderness as the Project Coordinator for Namibia ideally fulfills his objective. His motto “Be positive always and see good in bad” perfectly sums up Stefanus’ sunny character.
