Climate and Landscape
The team at Damaraland Camp had thought winter was over but August was very cold in the mornings and evenings.

Wildlife
Guests had an unexpected bonus at Damaraland Camp this month – not only did they have lion sightings, but those of a lioness with two healthy cubs, throughout August.

Elephants were also relatively close to the camp and the guides didn’t have to drive far to get rewarding sightings of these ponderous animals.

Camp Activities
Damaraland Camp’s fire pit area is a must-visit spot before and after dinner, and fireside conversations go on happily until late at night.

Staff news
Damaraland Camp welcomes Leroy Keister to the DMC family. Leroy started in his role as F&B Manager at the camp in August.

Guest Comments
