Climate and Landscape
July brought mostly normal Namibian winter weather, meaning nice and warm during the day with much colder temperatures at night.
The elephants of the Damaraland area have split into smaller groups with one herd travelling between De Riet Pos and Twyfelfontein; as a result amazing sightings were enjoyed all month.
The lions were shy this month but, whilst out on a nature drive with guests, one of the guides saw a leopard – an unexpected delight!
The rhinos in the area are quite skittish and only a few sightings were recorded.
From sweeping sundowner vistas to endless views while practicing yoga on the main area deck, Damaraland Camp delivered amazing al fresco activities and experiences this month.
The camp recently added inverter batteries to the rooms so our guests are able to charge their electronic devices in their rooms instead of in the main area.
“Thank you so much for making our stay so special; from the moment we arrived the team amazed us and made us feel so special. We can’t wait to come back one day.”
