Damaraland Camp recorded the first rainfall for the season and everyone was excited to see the Huab River flowing. The temperatures moved into the high 30s Celsius and just seeing the flowing water made everyone feel a little bit cooler.
The elephants seemed to enjoy spending time around Damaraland Camp and the guides didn’t have to drive long distances to see them.
A young elephant calf caused huge excitement when the guides found him what must have been minutes after his mother had given birth.
The waterhole at Twyfelfontein was also a great spot to watch desert-adapted elephants enjoying the water.
Guests are consistently thrilled by the camp’s early breakfast spot – and the sunrise that presents itself soon after they arrive!
“The most beautiful experience I ever had in my life.”
