Doro Nawas had a couple of pretty chilly nights and the days only heated up to a maximum of 35° Celsius.
Two incredibly lucky guests went out on a morning activity looking for elephant, but found a male rhino instead! The sighting was quite far away but this didn’t dampen their enthusiasm for this special sighting at all. And they also found the elephants!
The rain during December completely transformed the areas in which it fell and a lot of game could be seen grazing. The Rosie elephant herd moved back into the area after an absence of about three months.
“What a fabulous experience, from the welcome to the departure – food was excellent – every meal, staff was warm, charming, accommodating. Laundry was excellent – singing, dancing superb – Bennie was fantastic on the drum. Accommodation was first rate. Journeys during the day were interesting and beautiful and the guides tried their best each day to try to make sure we saw as much as possible.”
