In July Dr Frank and Jaana Shellock donated $5000 and asked Children in the Wilderness to buy uniforms for the children of Gunotsoga Primary School in Botswana…

The school management suggested an official handover, including the parents, Chiefs, Ministry of Education and organised the handover for the 16th October 2015. One hundred and seventeen students received uniforms, which included shoes, socks, trousers/skirts and shirts.

The children were delighted to receive the uniforms as most of them come to school with old uniforms and some don’t even have shoes to put on. Teachers explained that this has been a challenge and it affects the future of the children. The parents were speechless after the donation, and very grateful to Frank and Jaana.

Children receive their uniforms - these children usually come to school without uniforms

This donation will have a welcome and positive impact on the education of these children as they will now fit in at school and are more likely to attend classes.

Sincere thanks again to Frank and Jaana Shellock!
