Climate and Landscape
The summer rains have been exceptional in the Linyanti and we recorded a total of 271 mm at Linyanti Tented Camp.
Compared to the number of elephants we used to see here during dry season, recent sightings have been scarce because the water is more readily available in the woodland now.
When the camp was quiet we spent a lot of time opening up the game drive roads and cleaning up the fallen tree branches.
Our January guests really enjoyed their stay at Linyanti Tented Camp. With the heavy rains, they didn’t always have time to get out on game drives; however, they enjoyed their sighting of two male lions and a female on their last day.
