December was incredibly hot up at Serra Cafema. The wind was quiet during the day and offered no respite for guests or staff alike. Everyone celebrated once the westerly winds started blowing in the afternoons though sometimes even these winds felt like they were just moving the hot air around.
Hartmann’s zebra, oryx and springbok were regularly seen on the drive into camp from the airstrip.
Special touches like vegan cookies and shortbread are the order of the day at Serra Cafema while Christmas lunch and dinner were feasts!
“Activities were excellent and well thought out; from quad biking to the Himba visit, boating and the sundowner in Angola, though perhaps most impressive was the football match with the staff. Very thoughtful and the extra mile. Management team and staff are superb. Thoughtful dining selections and Reginald in particular was a treat. Jolindie is an excellent addition to the team and is not only passionate but hosted a wonderful dinner. A success all round. T
