Namibia Exploration: Diverse Namibia

Wildlife - Diverse Namibia

Desert-adapted wildlife at Kulala and Damaraland is fascinating, with particular focus on elephant at the latter. On the Atlantic coast, dolphins, pelagic (ocean-going) birdlife, and Cape fur seals, leatherback turtles, southern right and humpback whales may be encountered.

Ongava Game Reserve features almost all of the Etosha’s characteristic wildlife, with plains game such as springbok, gemsbok, wildebeest, Burchell's zebra, Hartmann's mountain zebra, red hartebeest, giraffe, eland and endemic black-faced impala seen; Etosha itself has elephant to add to the list. Lion and both black and white rhino are present. Birding across the country is excellent.
