Arrive at Livingstone Airport and transfer by road to Toka Leya Camp for two nights. Toka Leya is located in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park overlooking the Zambezi River. Twelve spacious en-suite safari-style tents (including three family tents) with expansive decks soak up the dramatic views and active wildlife. Wooden walkways snake between the units and main area, limiting our footprint on this pristine area.
The Victoria Falls is known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya (“the smoke that thunders”), due to its towering plume of spray that is visible at a distance. Within this area of the mighty Zambezi River guests can engage in wildlife viewing or one of the many adrenalin activities on offer. Scheduled camp activities include a river cruise on the camp’s boats, a game drive in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park a guided tour of the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls, a guided tour of Livingstone and Livingstone Museum, and a visit to a nearby village plus local curio shops. All meals are also included.
Transfer to Livingstone Airport and fly to the Kafue National Park (Plains Airstrip) for three nights at Shumba Camp. Set right in the centre of the Busanga Plains, Shumba – meaning lion – has been appropriately named after the lions that make the plains their home. With easy access to permanent water and views encompassing 360 degrees across the plains, Shumba Camp offers the ultimate combination of wildlife and luxury.
You will feel only pampered in one of Shumba’s six spacious luxury safari tents situated on raised platforms. From here guests see hundreds of red lechwe, puku and roan “flocking” to feed on the nutritious surrounding grasses. The dining, bar and plunge pool area have also been built to maximise views and meals are either served here or in the boma where guests enjoy elements of local Zambian culture. This three night stay includes a balloon flight over the Busanga Plains. Your stay also includes twice-daily scheduled camp activities and all meals.
Fly to the Lower Zambezi National Park (Jeki Airstrip) for three nights at Anabezi Luxury Tented Camp. (NB: Flight routed via Lusaka Airport) Built on the foundations of the historical camp, Ana Tree Lodge, Anabezi Luxury Tented Camp is found in the Lower Zambezi National Park, one of Zambia’s three significant wildlife sanctuaries. Blending absolute luxury with complete rustic authenticity, the camp’s close proximity to the Zambezi River allows for both land and water game viewing activities including game drives, boating, fishing, canoeing and walking safaris.
Activities at Anabezi includes game viewing, boating on the Zambezi, fishing, briding, nidghtrive, canoeing and walking safaris.
Bid farewell to your adventure and transfer by air to Livingstone or Lusaka Airport.
